NEW DELHI: The spotlight will be on world’s premier all-rounders Ben Stokes of England and Australia’s Cameron Green who will most likely enjoy a bidding frenzy in the Indian Premier League 2023 Auction, featuring 405 players, that will take place on Friday.
The mini-auction, this time will be a one-day event and a maximum of 87 slots will be available in the 10-team auction. 30 of these slots are for overseas players.
In the pool of 405 players, 273 are Indians and 132 are overseas players of which 4 are from associate nations.
Among the Indians, the likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma and Manish Pandey will hope to find a buyer.
While Kolkata Knight Riders have the lowest purse available at Rs 7.2 crore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, with Rs 42.25 crore and 13 spots available will be on a shopping spree at the auction.
