The much-awaited mega cricket carnival, Indian Premier League (IPL), will kick start from March 31 with the inaugural match between defending champions Gujarat Titans and four-time champions Chennai Super Kings in Ahmedabad. The BCCI announced the complete schedule of the IPL 2023.

The IPL will start from March 31 and the last league match will be played on May 21. The final match for the title will be played on May 28. As per the schedule, all the 10 franchises will play seven home and seven away matches during the league phase of the tournament.

A total of 70 league matches will be played and will include 18 double headers, the BCCI announced. This time, there will be two groups in the league stage. Mumbai Indians, Kolkata KnightRiders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow SuperGiants are in Group A, while Group B has Gujarat Titans, Chennai SuperKings, Punjab Kings, SunRisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The evening matches will start from 7:30 pm while the double header afternoon matches will start from 3:30 pm.
