Punjab Kings, on the other hand, are hanging by a thread after they lost their seventh game of the competition and now along with winning all their remaining games, they will have to depend on a few other results to go their way to have a chance of qualifying in the top four.
KKR have dominated Punjab Kings in their last few encounters winning four of the last five while the Kings have won just one game.

The last time these two sides met earlier this season it was the Knight Riders, who won the game comfortably as after restricting the Punjab Kings to a low total of 123 runs, the men in purple chased down the total with 20 balls remaining owing to good knocks by skipper Eoin Morgan and Rahul Tripathi.

Ex-Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir is the leading run-getter in the KKR vs PBKS games, scoring 492 runs. He is followed by his ex-teammate and former KKR batter Robin Uthappa with 438 runs while former PBKS wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha is third on the list with 322 runs in this fixture.
Sunil Narine is the leading wicket-taker
Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Sunil Narine is the leading wicket-taker in KKR vs PBKS fixture with 30 scalps. Narine is followed by Umesh Yadav, who has 14 wickets to his name against Punjab Kings while the leg-spinner Piyush Chawla also has 14 wickets to his name having played for both sides.
