Iowa State defensive lineman jumps OVER an SUV
Iowa State defensive lineman jumps OVER an SUV in video that emerges the same day he impresses at the NFL Combine… 48 hours after having a 104-degree fever
Iowa State edge defensive end Will McDonald pulled off an impressive display of athleticism when he jumped over a parked SUV.
In a video posted on the NFL’s Instagram account, McDonald can be seen taking a long run up to approach the stationary vehicle from it’s rear right side before making his leap.
The caption posted in the video states ‘Iowa State edge Will McDonald cleared a car,’ however his left hand can clearly be seen pushing him over the roof leading to some to pose the question if he truly ‘cleared’ the car.
This was not the only recent display of his leaping ability that impressed as McDonald produced in the NFL Combine’s broad jump as he finished second place among all defensive lineman and linebackers at 11 feet.
He also recorded a 36-inch vertical jump as well.

What made McDonald’s combine performance even more impressive was the fact that he had a 104-degree fever 48 hours prior to the event, according to NFL Network’s Peter Schrager.
McDonald’s most productive college seasons came in 2020 and 2021 when he posted double digit sacks in both years.
He was named Co-Defensive Lineman of the Year and First-Team All-Big-12 for the 2021 season.
His production dropped significantly in the 2022 season, as he posted only five sacks, although that may have been the result of him playing a higher variance of alignments along the defensive front.
He ended his final college season with 36 tackles, five sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
As of now he is currently projected to be taken in the fourth round.
