New iOS 16 features for iPhones

Health App got a new upgraded feature

During the announcement of iOS 16, Apple introduced adding an AFib history in the Health App. But it was not available in the earlier version of the iOS 16 beta. Now, iPhone users can track their AFib history which shows atrial fibrillation by working with an Apple Watch to detect irregular heart rhythms.

Photo Library sharing via iCloud

With the latest iOS 16 beta update, Apple now made it possible to share photos with up to six other people via the iCloud service. This will allow everyone on board to upload, edit and delete photos directly from the shared photo album.

Lockdown mode

Apple has announced that this new Lockdown mode option aims to protect iPhone users from state-sponsored spyware. What will it do? With the activation of Lockdown Mode, most message attachments except the images will be blocked and link previews will be disabled. It will be like a shield to the iPhone and its other products against intrusions from state-backed hackers and commercial spyware. Basically, it is meant to serve as an emergency button that will be needed by a small number of its users only.

Remember Clownfish wallpaper? It is here!

iOS 16 latest update added the Clownfish wallpaper! The old iPhone users must have been aware of these wallpapers which were originally used by Steve Jobs during the initial stage of the first iPhone, but they actually never shipped with any iPhone. Now, 15 years later, iOS 16 delivered these initial wallpapers to iPhone users.

What’s more with the latest iOS 16 updates?

Besides these major features in the latest update of iOS 16, Apple has added the customisation option of iPhone’s lock screen that was touted during the announcement. From changing the font of the time, and date modes to adding your own element to make the lock screen more personalised, the iOS 16 beta 3 version now has eight different font options.

In addition to these, iOS 16 developer beta 3 has received a new setting for the Reminders app, an improved Messages app with new features such as pinning a conversation or a quick reply to a specific message, an improved Maps app, a new translation app, and a lot more!
