Interest in Jets season tickets soared following the news that New York had finally acquired the star quarterback, with Google searches surrounding the team hugely increasing overnight.
More than five weeks after publicly expressing his desire to play for the Jets, Rodgers was dealt to the Jets on April 24 from Green Bay.
And according to data from World Sports Network, the move massively excited Jets fans, as searches for Jets season tickets increased by 1323% overnight following the news.
Additionally, the site said that searches for ‘Aaron Rodgers Jets Jersey’ were up 6513% after the trade.
While plenty of Jets fans will have Rodgers’ name on their back, he’ll be without his customary No. 12 for the first time in his NFL career.

The quarterback will switch to No. 8 in New York, despite receiving Joe Namath’s blessing to wear No. 12.
Rodgers is expected to massively elevate a Jets team that went just 7-10 last year but showed plenty of reasons for optimism moving forward.
Cornerback Sauce Gardner and receiver Garrett Wilson won Defensive and Offensive Rookie of the Year respectively, while running back Breece Hall looked great before tearing his ACL.
The team’s defense also allowed just 18.6 points per contest – the fourth-best mark in the league.
But after starting the year 6-3, New York’s season torpedoed as Zach Wilson struggled to give the team competent play at quarterback before being benched.
The second-year passer and 2021 second overall pick finished last season with just six touchdowns and a 54.6 percent completion percentage.

The Jets will obviously expect Rodgers to improve on those marks and hope the roster around him is good enough to contend.
Off the field, Rodgers seems to be loving life in New York.
He wasted no time in making trips to Madison Square Garden to watch the Rangers and Knicks, taking in the second game in particular with new teammate Gardner.
Rodgers and the Jets have OTAs scheduled for May 22-23.
