Inter Milan set for Chelsea raid by targeting Blues defenders Cesar Azpilicueta and Trevoh Chalobah, while the Italian side still hope to hang onto Romelu Lukaku
Inter Milan have asked about Chelsea full-back Cesar Azpilicueta as well as defender Trevoh Chalobah.
The Italians have so far been offering low fees or loans, which have been dismissed by Chelsea, and the club also still maintain an interest in Romelu Lukaku.
Azpilicueta ‘s contract is set to expire in 2024 having signed a new deal with the Blues in 2022 after he was linked with a move back to Spain.
There were suggestions at the time that co-owner Todd Boehly ‘blocked his move to Barcelona‘ with Chelsea not wanting to lose one of their key leaders and longest-serving stars.
However, with the West London club looking to trim the squad following their £600m outlay on players last year, the 33-year-old could be set for an exit and has reportedly agreed a two-year deal with Inter.

The Spaniard joined Chelsea in 2012 from Marseille and has gone on to make 508 appearances for the club, scoring 17 goals, while he is also club captaion.
It is believed Chelsea will terminate his contract at Stamford Bridge with a year left to run, allowing the club legend, who two league titles and a Champions League, to leave for new a challenge.
Although Inter aren’t the only club interested in snapping up the Spanish star, with former boss Tomas Tuchel also monitoring the situation with a view of bringing Azipilicueta to Bayern Munich.
Azpilicueta could be joined in Milan by defensive teammate Trevoh Chalobah, who Inter are also targeting.

The 23-year-old has yet to cement a first-team place in the Blues line-up and his future could lay elsewhere.
As well as the two defenders, Inter still have hopes on securing the services of Romelu Lukaku, who has spent the last two season’s on-loan at the Serie A club from Chelsea.
Lukaku has also been linked with rivals AC Milan, but they have not made an offer for the Belgium striker who is on £325,000 a week.
