Inter Miami fans hold up signs calling for Phil Neville to be fired after ANOTHER defeat

Inter Miami fans call for Phil Neville to be fired after ANOTHER MLS defeat, this time against 10-man New York Red Bulls as the team stays last in the Eastern Conference

Inter Miami fans turned on coach Phil Neville on Wednesday night, holding up signs calling for him to be fired after defeat by New York Red Bulls.

Miami are last in the Eastern Conference and have two wins from their last 13 games, along with a miserable points tally of 15 from as many games.

Red Bulls, rebuilding under new coach Troy Lesesne, took three points thanks to a second half goal from Tom Barlow.

Miami missed a penalty in the first few minutes of the game, Leonardo Campagna sending a tame effort straight at goalkeeper Carlos Coronel.

It comes on the same day reports resurfaced that the David Beckham-owned franchise could have fresh hope on an incredible deal to sign Lionel Messi.

Reports have claimed that Messi will sign for Miami and loan him to Barcelona for a fairytale return to the team where he has spent the golden years of his career. He would then, eventually, head to MLS with Miami.

But in the meantime, Beckham and fellow co-owners Jorge and Jose Mas have a big decision to make over Neville.

There were tentative signs of an upturn in form for Miami earlier in May with two straight league wins against Atlanta United and New England.

But now, Neville’s team is spiraling once again.
