instagram: Instagram is rolling out a new profile banner that shows users’ upcoming live streams – Times of India

Meta-owned short video sharing platform has started rolling out a new feature that will allow users to update their followers about the upcoming live streams.
TechCrunch has reported that the feature is a part of the new profile banner that Meta is now rolling out to all Instagram users.
With the new profile banner, users will be able to add a badge in their profile indicating that they have an upcoming live stream. Tapping on the banner, followers can subscribe and get reminded about the live stream.
Users will also be able to schedule multiple live streams at a time. If there are multiple scheduled live streams, they will be shown as the side-scrolling list.
Instagram Head Adam Mosseri has highlighted that this feature will help creators and users to update their followers easily via the new native live stream badge.
The badge will be visible to all Instagram users even if someone is not a follower to that particular user or page.
The live stream feature has become one of the most crucial features for the app and the content creators to generate more engagement on their page. Instagram has also been fine tuning the feature to offer better features and user experience.
The company recently added the ability to broadcast with up to four other creators and while the latest live stream badge appears to be a small change, it can help creators to generate more views and engagement.
For those unaware, Instagram recently launched the Remix, a tweaked version of TikTok Duets, that now allows users to remix any publicly available video and create a reel.
