Inside Kansas City’s wild Super Bowl celebrations as delirious Chiefs drink champagne off the trophy

A historic Super Bowl LVII victory sparked wild scenes in the Kansas City Chiefs locker room after the AFC franchise produced a stunning 38-35 comeback victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. 

Following one of the greatest Super Bowls of the modern age, Chiefs players partied it up with champagne, dancing and a sly dig at their defeated rivals. 

Juju Smith-Schuster – who stunned onlookers pregame by wearing a kilt – streamed Kansas City enjoying themselves with the help of the Lombardi Trophy and champagne. 

‘On top of the motherf****** mountain. You can’t tell us s***, you can’t tell us s***,’ said a defiant Travis Kelce, still raging at those whoever doubted the now-dynastic Chiefs 

‘Thank you for coming through,’ Kelce said to Smith-Schuster. ‘Thank you for fighting through all the s***. Dog, how sweet is this, man. Love you bro.’

‘Oh my God, we just won the Super Bowl! Let’s f****** go!,’ Smith-Schuster said.

The former Pittsburgh Steeler was dancing and drinking straight from the bottle as he soaked up celebrations with his teammates. 

Tommy Townsend was seen spraying another bottle before drinking some of the leftovers himself. 

All-Pro punter Townsend using the famed trophy as a conveyor belt of sorts, as he poured alcohol onto the Lombardi for it to trickle into his mouth. 

Another member of the Chiefs organization got in on the fun as some players could be heard yelling, ‘He’s a dog!’

‘He’s going crazy! He’s going crazy!’ Smith-Schuster added. 

Kadarius Toney – who was discarded by the New York Giants for a third and sixth-round draft pick – was crucial to the win in the biggest game of his life. 

Toney caught a touchdown before setting up another with a 65-yard punt return, the longest in Super Bowl history.

‘Man, y’all know what time it is. Go get yo ring sized,’ he said. Smith-Schuster concurred, repeating the celebratory phrase – referencing their imminent Super Bowl rings. 

Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes chimed in, but kept it typically low-key, yelling ‘Let’s get it baby!’

Elsewhere, rookie Isiah Pacheco, a seventh-round draft pick, was integral to Kansas City’s second Super Bowl in four years, and equally its postgame celebrations. 

The Rutgers alum got down to Lil Uzi Vert’s Just Wanna Rock, the unofficial anthem of the Eagles team this season.

Rookie running back Isiah Pacheco showed he has moves on and off the gridiron postgame

Pacheco streamed the dance moves live on Instagram, which were then shared across social media.

While the Kansas City locker room seemed like the place to be following the game, the same could not be said for some 45 minutes prior. 

The AFC East franchise trailed 24-14 to Philadelphia at the half and seemingly had no answer to the Eagles run game which had dominated time of possession and went virtually unchallenged against the Chiefs defense — save for a crucial Hurts fumble returned for a touchdown. 

In the second half, Kansas City turned the tide and scored on every possession as Mahomes put the team on his back en route to his second Super Bowl.

Mahomes and his favorite target, Kelce, celebrated another thrilling Super Bowl performance

Smith-Schuster played his part too, making seven catches – most of any Chiefs receiver – for 53 yards. Mahomes targeted the former Steeler more than anyone.

It was something of a redemptive moment for Smith-Schuster who could have moved to the Chiefs last season but decided to stay in Pittsburgh, where he had an underwhelming campaign. 

Meanwhile, the fleet-of-foot Pacheco continued to add chapters to what had already been a Cinderella story since joining Kansas City from Piscataway, NJ. 

The 251st overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. 

Scenes were likely to be much more dour in the Philadelphia locker room despite their spirited effort. 

With the loss it was yet another blow to The City of Brotherly Love, who became the first city in history to lose three consecutive sports titles.
