Inside Addison Rae’s Glamourous—And Versace Filled—Italain Trip

Addison Rae’s time in Versace’s front row was a dream come true. For Rae, it was the experience of a lifetime, and everything from the Piazza Lina Bo Bardi venue, to her monochromatic magenta look she wore to take in Donatella’s latest collection suited her perfectly. “I am so grateful to Donatella and the entire team at Versace,” she says. “[They] made my first real fashion week experience such a special one.”

The social media and music star’s first trip to Italy went off without a hitch. While abroad, she enjoyed a taste of Milan fashion week, a trip to the exclusive Fendace event, and a bit of delectable Italian cuisine. The fun started in fittings, where Rae tried on a standout magenta mini dress from the fall/winter 2021 collection and a series of monochromatic accessories, all specially selected for her by the Donatella. “What I wore to the show totally fits my personality,” says Rae. “[It] fits me in general; we didn’t even have to make any alterations!”

Though her collection wishlist includes the slinky, cutout-laden black gown worn on the runway by model Rianne Van Rompaey, the highlight of Rae’s front row experience was a supermodel sighting. “Seeing Naomi Campbell was insane,” she says. While watching stars like Campbell and show opener Dua Lipa strut down the runway, Rae was blown away by the dynamic energy of Versace’s spring vision. “I would describe the Versace look as loud and vibrant,” she says. “I loved all the bright colors and incredible designs—Donatella is a genius!”

Here, the star takes Vogue along for her Italian getaway from gelato breaks to touring Gianni Versace’s private residence.
