“I am interested in the CEO position @Twitter. I have 4 degrees from MIT & have created 7 successful high-tech software companies. Kindly advise of the process to apply,” Ayyadurai wrote in a tweet addressed to Musk. He also says on his Twitter that he “invented email” and one of his four degrees is PhD in biological engineering.

Twitterati reacts
Ayyadurai’s Twitter application attracted both encouraging and sarcastic comments from Twitter users. “I’ve observed that degrees is one of the last thing @elonmusk looks at when hiring (sic). (Though you’re education creds are indeed formidable.),” Greg Autry, a Twitter user wrote in response to Ayyadurai’s Tweet.
“Best of luck to you. I’d expect your application to be rejected because you mention your education,” another Twitter user wrote in response.
MrBeast applied for the job
Before Ayyadurai, famous YouTuber MrBeast tweeted asking Musk whether he can be the next Twitter CEO. Musk replied by saying “It’s not out of the question.”
Elon Musk to step down as Twitter CEO
Recently, Musk posted a Twitter poll asking users whether he should step down as the company’s CEO. Two days after he put up a poll, he said that “I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job!”.
Musk will be involved in the company’s day-to-day operations and “will just run the software & servers teams,” he noted. He said that the new CEO should have the capacity to keep “Twitter alive.”
“The question is not finding a CEO, the question is finding a CEO who can keep Twitter alive,” he said in another tweet.
