After winning the toss, India posted a huge total of 228 in the third Twenty20 international against Sri Lanka in Rajkot on January 7, 2023.
Suryakumar Yadav played a brilliant knock demolishing the Sri Lankan bowlers. He scored his third T20 international century. Suryakumar Yadav finished unbeaten on 112 off just 51 deliveries with seven boundaries and nine sixes.
After winning the toss, India lost Ishan Kishan early for 1. Then Tripathi (35) and Subhman Gill (46) dominated the powerplay.
After the dismissal of Tripathi it was Suryakumar Yadav all through the rest of the Indian innings. Suryakumar toyed with the Sri Lankan bowling attack and scored at will. A special mention to his scoop sixes.
Despite losing Shubhman Gill, Hardik Pandya and Deepak Hooda in quick succession, Suryakumar and Axar Patel stayed till the end to lift India to competitive total.
India skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bat against Sri Lanka in the series-deciding third T20 International here on Saturday.
India are fielding an unchanged side, but the visitors made one change, replacing Bhanuka Rajapaksa with Avishka Fernando.
