‘India have not got a wicketkeeper like Mahi bhai’: WATCH Virat Kohli’s sly dig at Rishabh Pant ahead of T20 World Cup
Ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the excitement is tangible among experts and critics. The tournament gets underway on Sunday (October 17) in UAE and Oman. Even the broadcasters are doing their bit to keep the audience hooked into the tournament. The official Broadcasters for this mega event have featuring India captain Virat Kohli and Wicketkeeper thrash Rishabh Pant.
In a short video clip, Kohli can be seen telling Pant about how cracking sixes is paramount throughout the T20 world cup. Kohli confessed the fact and said there has not come a wicketkeeper thrash like Dhoni in the team
“Rishabh, sixes win you matches in T20 cricket,” Kohli tells Pant in a virtual call in the video shares by Star Sports India.
“Don’t worry Bhaiya, I am practising every day. It was a wicketkeeper that won India a world cup by hitting a six,” said Pant.
“Yes, but India have not got a wicketkeeper like Mahi bhai since then,” Virat said.

As for the T20 World Cup, the Indian squad made one change and brought in stand-by player Shardul Thakur to the 15-member squad. He replaced Axar Patel who was part of the squad and is now added to the stand-by player’s list.
India will begin their T20 campaign by playing two warm-up matches against England and Australia on October 18 and 20 respectively.
