Hello and welcome to India TV’s live blog for the 2nd Test that will be a day-night game between India and Sri Lanka here at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Monday. India collect three wickets in the first session.
Sri Lanka 105/4 in 27.5 overs- WICKET R Ashwin takes another wicket in this session as he removes de Silva. Just after Sri Lanka struggled to cross the 100-run mark, Ash gives another shock to the visitors. Sri Lanka’s confidence has shaken up after those quick dismissals. India are on top now as Dickwella arrives.
Sri Lanka 98/3 in 20.4 overs- WICKET Now, Jadeja joins the party. He bowls a Jadeja special delivery to get better of the experienced Angelo Mathews. Sri Lanka after getting a solid start have started to crumble before drinks break. Dhananjaya enters the ground.
Sri Lanka 97/2 in 19.4 overs- WICKET Ashwin strikes for India. Mendis just after scoring fifty departs. He comes down the ground to play against the off-spinner, but gets fooled by the turn and gets stumped. A good wicket for India who were in desperate need of that breakthrough. Mathews comes in.
Sri Lanka 92/1 in 19 overs Sri Lanka have made a promising start in the first session of Day 3. Both Mendis and Karunaratne have ensured to keep the scoreboard steering. And, they have looked really confident against the Indian spinners. The hosts have also been a little soft in this session as they have gifted some good runs in the extras. They should aim to keep it tight and endure wickets before dinner. Kusal Mendis has reached his fifty.
