IND vs ENG Test Team: Pujara makes return, Rahane and Saha fail to make cut; Know details
India is set to play one remaining test match against England from 1st to 5th July at Edgbaston. The team which will be led by Rohit Sharma will be seen a return of Chesteshwar Pujara after his praise worthy performance for Sussex in County Cricket. Ajinkya Rahane who was ruled out due to injury from IPL 2022 and star player Wriddhiman Saha have not made it to the team. Prasidh Krishna is set to debut for Indian test team.
Pujara, who was recently dropped for the home Test series against Sri Lanka, has made his return to the team. Pujara has made his place into the side after smashing 720 runs in eight innings for Sussex. He hammered four centuries during the league.
Ravindra Jadeja, who was rule out of the IPL due to a rib injury has been added to the list.
Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah, who will be rested for T20I series against South Africa in June, will be playing the Test.
Ajinkya Rahane, will not be in action, after sustaining a hamstring injury during the ongoing IPL. Rahane was previously dropped Test series against Sri Lanka.
Prasidh Krishna is set to make debut in Test cricket and is a are part of the seam attack including Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav, and Shardul Thakur who will be led by Bumrah and Mohammed Shami. He has been impressive while bowling for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. R Ashwin is expected to impress with frontline spin.
KS Bharat was picked as the second wicketkeeper after Rishabh Pant.
