IND vs AUS 3rd ODI: India’s star batter Suryakumar Yadav was on Wednesday dismissed on a golden duck for yet another time in the ongoing ODI series against Australia. India and Australia face each other in the third and final ODI of the game and India was given a 270-run target. Virat Kohli played a good hand of fifty before departing but Suryakumar, who came in at No.7 was out on the first ball.

Yadav was demoted down the order from No.4 to No.7 as India experimented with the batting order. Yadav played his first ball in the 36th over and was bowled on the first ball by Ashton Agar. This was his third consecutive golden duck in the series as he fell on the first ball in the two previous matches to Starc.

India’s world record of consecutive home series win was on Wednesday brought down by the mighty Aussies as Steve Smith’s men registered a victory at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. India lost the match by 21 runs to concede the three-match ODI series by 1-2. This is India’s first loss in ODI series at home after 7 series wins. Also, this is India’s first loss at home across formats after 25 victorious series. India were unbeaten at home for 25 consecutive series across all formats since their last loss in an ODI series in 2019. This is their first series loss against any team at home after four years. The last team to beat India in India was Australia, who won the three-match ODI series by 3-2 in January 2019.
