In the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, the summit clash between India and Australia is underway at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This time, India is aiming for their 3rd World Cup crown after twelve years while Australia is seeking to claim their record 6th World Cup win. This is the second time that both teams are facing each other in the World Cup finals after their last match in 2003.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles, Chief Ministers of eight States, and eminent dignitaries have arrived to watch match at the stadium.
Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma told media that his team is fully prepared for this match and they will do their best.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his best wishes to the Indian cricket team for the World Cup. In a social media post, Mr Modi said that 140 crore Indians are cheering for the team. He further wished the Indian team to shine bright and play well while upholding the spirit of sportsmanship.
