The gray skies of Los Angeles briefly parted this week for Saks and Valentino’s poolside cocktail party at a private residence in Beverly Hills. The venue boasted breathtaking views of the city and the ocean, setting the stage for the exclusive North American launch of Valentino Escape 2023 at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Upon arrival, guests were greeted with glasses of Champagne and guided by melodic tunes toward the party’s outdoor area. The infinity pool became the focal point, enhanced by red-striped pool chairs, sun beds, and umbrellas reminiscent of a French Riviera beach club. A carefully curated display showcased the new collection with an array of flowing silhouettes, mini dresses, and accessories in iconic and colorful prints. Valentino-red floral arrangements with spindly flame lilies and swollen peonies added a touch of tropical charm to the tables and bar. In attendance were Sasha Calle, Courtney Eaton, Olivia Welch, Marianna Hewitt, Faouzia, Erin Walsh, and more.
As the sun set over Beverly Hills, guests gathered near the sparkling pool and DJ booth. Some draped themselves among the various poolside furnishings, playfully fanning themselves and one another with woven raffia handheld fans, and discussing upcoming summer travels.
The collection’s tagline, “Escape the Ordinary,” proved fitting. The evening’s ambiance, embodying the essence of summer, provided a delightful respite from the bustling streets of Los Angeles, offering a glimpse of the exciting possibilities that await in the approaching summer season.
