‘I’m notorious for killing hypes’: Drew Dober says he would end Paddy Pimblett rise if given chance
‘I’m notorious for killing hypes’: Drew Dober confident he would end Paddy Pimblett’s rise if he was given chance to face UFC star but knows UFC will protect ‘cash cow’
- Paddy Pimblett is one of the fasting rising stars in the UFC at the moment
- Drew Dober is currently on an impressive three-fight win streak
- He believes he would derail The Baddy’s hype train if given the chance
Drew Dober believes the UFC will want to keep Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett as far away from him as possible as he would derail the Liverpudlian’s hype train.
Piblett is one of the fastest rising stars in the company with a record of 4-0 since signing for them and some of the best mic skills in the business.
However, many believe he lost his most recent bout against Jared Gordon and Dober saw enough flaws to believe he would get the job done.
Drew Dober has no doubt he would derail Paddy Pimblett’s hype train given the chance
‘He’s a cash cow,’ Dober said of Pimblett. ‘He’s somebody that they’re going to want to try to keep in the UFC for as long as possible and I’m notorious for killing hypes.’
‘He leaves his chin up there way too long,’ Dober continued. ‘His jiu-jitsu’s a problem for sure. Just kind of like Bobby Green, he’s got a style that’s hard to find, so he might win this first round but I will find his chin.’
Dober is on a three–fight win streak with finishes in all three.
He used his most recent post-fight interview to call out Jalin Turner, who is No 12 in the lightweight rankings.
Pimblett has quickly become one of the most talked about fighters in the sport of MMA
