Hrithik Roshan praises Rishab Shetty’s directing and acting in ‘Kantara’; calls movie top-notch

Hrithik Roshan is the latest Bollywood celeb to praise Kannada hit Kantara. Late on Sunday night, the actor expressed his admiration for the film on social media and praised the lead actor and director of the movie Rishab Shetty. Hrithik’s tweet was hugely appreciated by many of the film’s fans.

Hrithik tweeted that he “learnt so much” by watching the movie and that the film is made extraordinary because of the “power of @shetty_rishab’s conviction”. Adding that, the film’s direction, acting, and storytelling are top-notch.

The Rishab Shetty directed film Kantara stars Rishab in the lead along with Kishore and Sapthami Gowda. The film roots in coastal Karnataka’s beliefs and merges stories of man vs. nature and land politics with the local belief system. The film is commercially successful and critically acclaimed.

Hrithik also complements the film’s climax fight sequence, which has been much commended because of its cinematography, tone, and intensity. Hrithik Roshan wrote “Respect & kudos” to the team as he got goosebumps due to the “peak climax transformation.”

Fans responded to the actor’s tweet saying that they hope Hrithik will “collaborate with” one as the actor always appreciated “Good Work across industry”. A film fan said that “Bollywood can’t deserve” Hrithik Roshan and that Tollywood directors will “do wonders” by working with him.

Initially released in Kannada, Kantara is a massive box office success that grossed ₹400 crores across the globe. Its Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil dubbed versions were released two weeks later. And earlier this month, the Hindi version of the film was released on Netflix.
