HowIMadeIt! Rucha Inamdar: I am sensitive to vibes – Times of India
Rucha’s father had his share of apprehensions when she told him about her decision of foraying into acting but her mother goaded her with motivation because she knew her daughter was secure in herself. The youngster says that she has had only one bad experience where a filmmaker acted funny with her, beckoning her to sit beside him when she’d gone to meet him for a role. Rucha immediately understood and excused herself. “I am sensitive to vibes,” she says.
Rucha says that so far the web show ‘Criminal Justice’ (wherein she played Avni Sharma Parashar) did the trick for her but her best is yet to come. “So yeah, the game-changer still hasn’t arrived,” she smiles.
Rucha talks about big stars very fondly and says that they don’t try too hard to make their presence felt. “They own the space when they arrive at a certain place.”
Rucha points out that today, talent has become secondary and presence on social media is primary. She has done a film ‘Not Today’ with Harsh Chhaya (wherein she plays a 24-year old who’s trying to save a 66-year old man played by Chhaya from committing suicide) which won her an award at a film festival in Ottawa. She has also done a film with Pankaj Kapur. In both these ventures, the cast primarily comprises two people. Not just that, Rucha has also done a relatively big film that she can’t talk about right now, but it’s a real biggie in terms of cast and canvas, whose modalities are being worked out, and a web series being produced by a big, popular star.
