How to Be the Most Risqué Guests at the Wedding, by Kendall, Hailey, and Bella
There was approximately zero chance of a same dress disaster for Kendall Jenner at her friend Lauren Perez’s wedding this week, as the super chose a spliced and diced Mônot look that was all about bringing sexy back to the bridal party. Also engaging in hyper-glamorous wedding guest mode? Hailey Bieber, who chose a Magda Butrym slip dripping in bronze sequins, and Bella Hadid, who stayed true to her Jean Paul Gaultier-inspired wardrobe of mere whispers of ’90s designs in diverting prints. Accompanied by singer-songwriter Jesse Jo Stark in another vintage-look get-up, the mood was very much girl band territory. Or just tipsy friends posing in the loo.
Jenner’s va va voom gown was made all the more striking by the fact it was a departure from the usual low-key vibe she rocks nowadays. There was nothing casual about her criss-crossing cut-out LBD designed to let the abs peep out and say hi. This skin-baring technical feat, which calls to mind Cher’s most memorable Bob Mackie look, is the brainchild of Lebanese, New York-based designer Eli Mizrahi, who has been catering to “bad girls” since 2020.
Perez, a fairytale bride in a traditional frou-frou gown and veil for days, looked all the more traditional next to her model mates, who wore baby-pink diamanté-tasseled cowgirl hats on the hen party. What are friends for if not getting the party started? There are plenty of dance floor wedding videos doing the rounds on social if scrolling is your thing. If not, prepare for more high-profile moments from Mr. Mônot, who also counts Demi Moore, Zendaya and J Lo as fans.
