Last night, Nicola Peltz Beckham paid tribute to Karl Lagerfeld with her look on the Met Gala 2023 red carpet. Arm in arm with husband Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, she wore a white strapless Valentino gown adorned with a long black bow, accentuating the look with a thick black choker and dazzling silver necklace stack. But the nods to Lagerfeld didn’t end there. Peltz Beckham’s glam also took cues from vintage Chanel runways—but with a twist.
Enter: a lower-back-grazing double ponytail crafted by hairstylist Evanie Frausto, who sought to “combine a sleek, sharp, and angular vibe in the front and a feminine touch in the back with a soft brushed-out texture.” To create the style, Frausto used an array of Bumble and Bumble products, including Does It All Light hairspray for sleekness, Dryspun spray for texture, and Semisumo pomade for neat sections and smoothed flyaways.

As for the makeup dreamt up by Raoúl Alejandre, it was all about the eyes. Her gaze got the graphic treatment with black winged eyeliner and a wash of pearly white on the lids, while lips and cheeks were accentuated with a rosy mauve wash of color. Needless to say, Peltz Beckham’s beauty pairing is one Lagerfeld would have approved of.
