How Apple CEO Tim Cook and Google CEO Sundar Pichai shared Diwali greetings – Times of India

India is celebrating Diwali, the festival of lights. To mark the festivities, CEOs of big tech firms Apple and Google took to microblogging platform Twitter to extend Diwali greetings. While Apple CEO Tim Cook shared Diwali photos captured by an Indian, Google CEO Sundar Pichai had a special ‘gift’ for the users.
Apple CEO Tim Cook wished Diwali by sharing two photos captured on Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max by Indian photographer Gursimran Basra @coffeekarma.
“Wishing a happy and safe Diwali to all those celebrating around the world. May the Festival of Lights fill your home with happiness and health. Stunning #ShotOniPhone13ProMax photos by @coffeekarma,” reads Tim Cook’s tweet.
One of the images shows a woman holding a paper lantern while the other captures a shot of earthen lamps i.e. diyas.

Google has created a special animation result on the Google Search page to mark the festival of Diwali. When a user searches for Diwali on Google, a diya appears in the search results at the top-left corner. When clicked on, the diya illuminates and can further be used to light up other diyas that appear on the search result page.

“Happy Diwali to everyone celebrating the festival of lights! (Look for the Diya lamp when you search for “Diwali” on Google:)”, Google CEO Sundar Pichai wrote in a Twitter post.
