Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker hilariously reveals he received a good luck message from his ‘homeboy’ Snoop Dogg ahead of World Series Game One against the Phillies
Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker said he had received calls from multiple of his ‘homeboys and homegirls,’ including legendary rapper and entertainer Snoop Dogg.
Baker revealed Snoop Dogg had wished him luck ahead of the Astros’ World Series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies Friday.
The 73-year-old Astros manager was asked if he was able to share any of the best messages or interactions he’s received wishing him good luck.

He said that legendary rapper Snoop Dogg has wished him luck ahead of the World Series
He replied: ‘Yeah, just my homeboys, some homegirls. Let me see, Snoop Dogg, you know a couple of rappers, local dudes, coaches I had, Bill Cosby, just different people that I’ve known in my life.’
Baker debuted in the Major League’s as a player in 1968 before playing 19 seasons during the height of Cosby’s fame.
He has referenced the friendship between the duo on multiple occasions throughout his 25-year managerial career.
This is despite the comedian’s fall from fame after he was first accused of sexual assault back in 2014.

Following years of litigation, Cosby was convicted of three felony counts of aggravated indecent assault.
He eventually received a three-to-10-year sentence from Pennsylvania Judge Steven T. O’Neill, who declared the comedian a ‘sexually violent predator.’
The conviction was eventually overturned in June of 2021 and Cosby was released from prison the same day. However, Cosby was convicted of sexual battery earlier this year.
The Astros faced the Phillies in Houston in Game One of the World Series on Friday night.
The Astros’ manager is looking to lead Houston to a World Series win for the first time since 2017 and his first championship.
