‘House of the Dragon’ Twitter reactions prove the hype is real for all ‘Game of Thrones’ fans – Times of India

‘House of the Dragon’ debuted its first episode on Monday morning and it is already proving to be worth the wait for all ‘Game of Thrones’ fans.

Based on George R.R. Martin’s book ‘Fire and Blood’, the 10-episode series is the remarkable yet turbulent story of the House of Targaryen. It is set 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen played by Emilia Clarke and the events narrated in the epic fantasy drama ‘Game of Thrones’ which ended in 2019.

Filled with gore, brutal and bloody scenes, steamy sex scenes and plenty of mentions from the previous GOT series, the first episode had it all say fans on Twitter. Following the show’s debut early this morning, several fans took to social media to share their honest reactions.

While some found hilarious memes best replicate their favourite scenes from the episode, others found themselves already picking their side and declaring themselves as team Rhaenyra Targaryen as they spotted similarities between her and Daenerys, who was killed off in the ‘GOT’ finale.

“I’m already team Rhaenys Targaryen because f**k the patriarchy,” said a fan.

“What a phenomenal first episode. It really feels like Game of Thrones is back. The acting, writing, and cinematography were fantastic. Great start to the season. Can’t wait for next week,” said another.

Many also took note of the finer details in the show that included the costume design, dialogues, cinematography and recreation of Kings Landing. See all other reactions that came in below:
