Sanjay Leela Bhansali has worked with talented stars like Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and other Bollywood celebs. Recently, the filmmaker was quizzed about Deepika and Alia and how they are different from each other.

The director told Spotboye that they both are different people and have different approaches, heights, voices, body language and approaches to cinema. He was all praise for Deepika and called her a beautiful girl and wonderful actor.

Speaking about Alia, he said that she is a very beautiful girl a wonderful actor. But if he has to do ‘Bajirao Mastani’ then he will have to have Deepika, and if he’s doing Gangubai so he will have to have Alia play it.

He also said that each one has their own power that they exude when they find a role that suits them and one cannot give the wrong role to the wrong actor.

The director also explained that whatever roles he had chosen for Alia and Deepika were based on ‘right casting’ and not on who could have played it better.

On the work front, Deepika and SLB have worked together on ‘Ram Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmaavat’, all of which gained positive responses from all quarters.
