Here’s what Swara Bhasker has to say about Taapsee Pannu’s ‘Shabaash Mithu’ scoring low at the box office – Times of India ►
Recently, Swara was asked to share her thoughts on female driven films like ‘Shabaash Mithu’, failing at the box office. Defending her friend Taapsee, Swara had tweeted, “I don’t believe that box office earnings are the sole determinant of the value of films. Some now cult films were box office duds and some films no better than tripe have been hits.. I loved the trailer of #shabashmithu and am catching it in theatres this week.”
Before stepping into the shoes of Mithali Raj, Taapsee has essayed several athletic roles like that of a hockey player, shooter and sprinter. In a recent conversation with ETimes, the actress admitted that she wanted to take a break from sports dramas. “I want to take a break from sports-related films, because it is taking a mental toll on me. I literally have no life beyond training and shooting. I wake up early in the morning, go for two hours of training and go shoot another film for 12 hours. I am forced to sleep as soon as I am back, otherwise I will not get enough sleep to be ready for the next day. I have been living this life for two years and it is taking a toll on me,” Taapsee had shared. Currently, the actress is shooting for ‘Dunki’ with Shah Rukh Khan.
