Here’e why James Cameron’s ‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’ is being compared to Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt’s ‘Brahmastra’ – Times of India

The film which is a follow-up to the James Cameron box office smash hit, has won praise from movie critics and fans alike. Those who queued up at theatres to catch the early screenings have flooded Twitter with their reviews and honest feedback about the film.

Audiences have applauded the new instalment for its technical ‘brilliance’ however, not everyone was universally impressed with ‘The Way of Water’. Besides some objecting to the long-running time, others said they were not drawn in by the story. These reviews gave way to many Desi fans drawing comparisons between ‘Avatar 2’ and the recent Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’ that was directed by Ayan Mukerji.

Reacting to a tweet, a Twitter user said, “So, basically it’s the US version of Brahmastra. Excellent visuals, but equally bad writing.”

Another fan said, “I am not comparing but all the reviews are seems like brahmastra… visually stunning story and screen play is lag… Plzz tell me any one how was the movi i am planing to see it.”

“Jis tarah Brahmastra ke visuals dekhne log gaye the waise hi avatar 2 ko v dekhne jaayenge log itna hype bana hua hai iska.. 250 cross kr lega india mein…” read another tweet.

Another said, “Same like Brahmastra then. No matter how s**t, the feel is gonna come only in theatre.”
