Recently, the veteran actress was asked if her husband Dharmendrarefuses to watch ‘Baghban’ to this day because of her chemistry with Amitabh Bachchan. Laughing at the thought, Hema Malini told Lehren Retro that she doesn’t know about it.In the same interview, Hema Malini stated that she was not keen on doing this movie, as she was not convinced to play a ‘mother of four’ in the family drama. However, her mother Jaya Chakravarthy convinced her to sign the film, stating that ‘Baghban’ had a very good story and the role was also meaty.
Directed by Ravi Chopra, ‘Baghban’ released in 2003 and starrer Salman Khan, Mahima Chaudhry, Aman Varma and Samir Soni among others.
Over the years, Hema Malini has delivered path-breaking performances on the big screen. Speaking about her career in front of the camera, Hema Malini had told BT, “I never planned to be a superstar in Bollywood. Aisa ho gaya. Maybe, I am the lucky one and people liked me.
