Ingredients-
200 grams paneer, 50 grams onion finely chopped, 100 grams tomatoes, 20 grams cashews, 5 grams ginger garlic paste, 50 ml oil, 10 grams green chilli, 1 bay leaf, 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp kasuri methi, ½ tsp garam masala powder, ¼ cup fresh cream and salt as per taste.
Method
Heat some oil in a pan. Add diced tomatoes, ginger garlic paste and cashews. Saute for 5 minutes.
Let the mixture cool down a bit. Add bit of water and blend to form a smooth paste.
Heat some more oil in the same pan. Add bay leaf and let it splutter for a few seconds. Add finely chopped onions and fry until translucent. Pour ground tomato, cashew paste in it and fry for 3-4 mins.
Add some water if required and add all the masala powders – kashmiri red chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, salt and turmeric powder.
Add some water if the gravy is too thick. Add slit green chillies. Cook for another 3-4 mins.
Add Kasoori methi and fresh cream. Mix well. Cut paneer into heart shapes using a heart shaped cutter.
Dip the paneer pieces in the gravy and serve with roti or naan.
