Have Liverpool accidentally leaked that three big players are leaving?
Liverpool fans claim footage from inside Anfield changing room proves three first-team stars are set for the exit… with trio’s pegs not adorning the new strip along with released quartet
A video of new shirts hung up in Liverpool’s dressing room has got some fans questioning whether three first-team stars are heading for the exit.
A clip, which was featured on the footy takes TikTok channel, shows a pan around the dressing room at Anfield, with 2023-24 kits hung up by each player’s locker.
But three players have still got their old shirts on the hanger, similarly to four released players, which has raised questions for some fans.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner and Roberto Firmino, who are all leaving this summer at the expiry of their deals, have got old shirts shown in the video, and Naby Keita, who is leaving, has been excluded all together, with Stefan Bajcetic’s shirt up in his place.
But the old shirts for the released quartet has caught the eye given three current first-team players also have the old kit by their lockers.
A video has been shared showing Liverpool’s first team dressing room, with kits hanging up
Thiago Alcantara, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip have all been left without new shirts in the dressing room, as fans enjoy stadium tours over the summer.
This could be down to a number change, or a printing issue, but it has not stopped some speculating if they are heading for the exit.
New signing Alexis Mac Allister does have a new kit printed and ready in the dressing room, as seen in the video.
‘All the current squads new shirts are up for the tour. The 4 lads who left, Bobby, Keita, Milner and Ox, their old shirts are all still up.
‘Thiago, Matip and Gomez’s old shirts are also up. Are they also leaving? Or just coincidence?’ one fan tweeted.
In response, another fan tweeted: ‘Our fans reading too way much into it no way we selling 2 CBs this summer who do you think our owners are?
‘If we signing 2 CBs or defenders then we aren’t signing 2 more midfielders.’
Thiago (right) has last season’s shirt on display, which has got fans wondering as to why
Joe Gomez also does not have a new shirt on display, like many of his first team team-mates
