Has Alia Bhatt signed a second Telugu film with Jr NTR after ‘RRR’? – Times of India

Alia Bhatt is all set to make her Telugu debut with SS Rajamouli’s upcoming magnum opus, ‘RRR’. While the film is yet to release, it looks like the actress has already bagged her second Telugu project.

According to a report in a news portal, the actress has come on board for Koratala Siva’s untitled next that will star none other than Jr NTR in the lead role. The report also added that the south superstar, who has become friends with the Bollywood actress, persuaded her to take up the film.

The said film will be the second collaboration of Jr NTR and Koratala. They had earlier worked in the 2016 hit film, ‘Janatha Garage’. The actor will reportedly be seen in the role of a student leader. The film will have a grand launch during a pooja event on February 7 and it will go on floors in the later part of the month.

The film, through its story, will reportedly try to give a valuable message for students not to waste their precious college life in dirty politics managed by big political players. The filmmaker has already finalised the script and hopes to release it as a pan-India film.

Meanwhile, ‘RRR’ will also star Ram Charan in the lead role along with Ajay Devgn in a special role. The film was supposed to hit the theatres in January this year. However, the pandemic has pushed the release of the film ahead. The makers are yet to finalise the release date of the movie.
