Harry Kane STARTS Tottenham’s first pre-season clash amid Bayern Munich talk as Ange Postecoglou gets his reign underway against West Ham in Australia
Harry Kane has been named in the starting lineup for Tottenham’s opening pre-season clash against West Ham, as new manager Ange Postecoglou gets his reign underway.
The striker, who scored 30 goals in 38 Premier League games last season, has been heavily linked with an exit this summer, with Mail Sport reporting Bayern Munich’s chief executive, Jan-Christian Dreesen, had met with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy last week.
PSG are also interested in Kane, though Mail Sport understands the Englishman does not want to move to the French side. But despite the talk, it’s back to business on the pitch as Totteham get their pre-season underway.
Meanwhile, James Maddison, who completed a £45million move from Leicester ealier in the summer, makes his first appearance for the north London club, alongside Yves Bissouma and Oliver Skipp in midfield.
Fellow new signing Manor Solomon also gets the nod, with Richarlison on the bench and Son Heung-min missing out altogether.

Tottenham’s new goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario also makes his first start, with Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Japhet Tanganga and Sergio Reguilon in front of him.
Spurs endured a disappointing campaign last season, finishing down in eighth as they missed out on European football.
This has led to increased speculation regarding Kane’s future, but he remains at the club for now, and will be hoping to get his pre-season off to a positive start.
Spurs XI: Vicario, Porro, Romero, Tanganga, Reguilon, Skipp, Bissouma, Maddison, Kulusevski, Solomon, Kane.
