GWS Giants young gun Bobby Hill eyeing move to Victoria

GWS Giants forward Bobby Hill is reportedly eyeing a move to Victoria despite there being one year remaining on his contract.

Greater Western Sydney Giants forward Bobby Hill is reportedly eyeing a move to Victoria next season.

The 21-year-old has one year remaining on his contract with the Giants, but as first revealed by foxsports.com.au, his management informed the Sydney-based club of the player’s wish to join a Victorian side in 2022.

Hill’s partner is pregnant, and his desire to play in Victoria is based on compassionate grounds. The move would also put him closer to his cousin, St Kilda’s Brad Hill.

However, the Giants are reportedly not expected to want to trade the small forward, having opened negotiations to extend his contract earlier this year.

According to AFL.com.au, Essendon, Geelong and North Melbourne are among the clubs willing to explore the prospect of signing the exciting goalkicker.

Collingwood is also in the market for a small forward.

Hill, who was pick 24 in the 2018 Draft, has played 30 games and kicked 25 goals for the Giants since making his AFL debut in 2019.

Other small forwards out of contract include Hawthorn’s Ollie Hanrahan, Sydney’s Ben Ronke and St Kilda’s Jack Lonie.

Adelaide to reject Swans’ latest offer for Dawson

On Friday, it was revealed that the Adelaide Crows would reportedly reject Sydney’s second offer to trade Jordan Dawson.

The Crows has been offered a deal that would see them receive the 24-year-old as well as the Swans’ future first and second round picks.

Sydney would get Melbourne’s future first round pick recently acquired by Adelaide, as well as the Crows’ future first and second-round selections.

The Swans were believed to be keen on the swap, but 7News Adelaide’s Theo Doropoulos reported it won’t be going ahead.

Neither will a deal that would have seen Dawson and pick 12 swapped for pick 4.
