Governors Ball Music Festival 2023 lineup announced; Lizzo, Odesza and Kendrick Lamar among headliners
The first-ever Governors Ball Music Festival took place back in 2011 on Governors Island. In 2012, it was held on Randalls Island, which remained its location for several years that followed. In 2020, which was also supposed to be held at Randall’s Island Park, the festival was cancelled due to the raging Covid-19 pandemic. In 2021, and 2022, the festival was held at Citi Field’s parking lot in Queens. This year’s edition will take place at Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
Addressing the change in the venue, Governors Ball co-founder Tom Russell said in a statement that “Words can’t express how excited we are to bring Governors Ball to Flushing Meadows Corona Park, one of the most special and storied parks in all of New York City.” Tickets can be booked on the official website.
