Gorakhpur-Lucknow, Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat trains: Timings, routes, stops
PM Modi will flag off two Vande Bharat Express trains–Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat and Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, today that is 7 July. During his two-day trip to four states, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate these two new Vande Bharat Express trains to the nation, bringing the total number of semi-high speed trains in the country to 25.
The Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will cover a distance of 302 km via Ayodhya junction in less than four hours. The regular service of the train will commence on July 9. It will have eight coaches, including seven air-conditioned chair cars and one executive chair car coach. This first mini semi-high-speed blue-white train in the state will connect the city of Baba Gorakhnath, Gorakhpur, to the city of Nawabs, Lucknow, reported Hindustan Times.

The train will depart from Gorakhpur at 6:05 am and reach Lucknow at 10:20 am on the same day. The return journey will depart from Lucknow at 7:15 pm and arrive in Gorakhpur at 11:25 pm on the same day. This train will provide improved connectivity to tourist places like Kushinagar, Siddharthnagar, and Sant Kabir Nagar.
The Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express will operate between Jodhpur in Rajasthan and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The train will also connect Pali, Abu Road, Palanpur, and Mehsana on its route. It will depart from Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) at 4:45 pm and reach Jodhpur at 10:55 pm on the same day. The return journey will depart from Jodhpur at 5:55 am and reach Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) at 12:05 pm on the same day, according to a press release by Western Railway (WR), reported Hindustan Times.
These additions will bring the total operational service of Vande Bharat Express trains to 50. The first Vande Bharat Express was flagged off on February 15, 2019, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, operating between New Delhi and Varanasi.
