Gopal Dutt has shared an interesting anecdote from his recent shoot with Akshay Kumar. Khiladi Kumar is known for his early morning shoots and despite the early hour, it turned out to be a pleasant experience for Gopal Dutt.
Speaking about his experience of working with Akshay, Gopal told Cyrus Broachaon his chat show, “Acha tha, it was great fun. Wohi tha, ke 2 baje nikalna hai (He always made sure to leave by 2 pm).But he was so quick, because of that only… Subha 5 baje shuru hua, aur 2 baje khatam hogaya shoot (It started at 5 am, and by 2, the shoot was over).”
Akshay has quite a reputation in the industry for starting his day very early and being extremely productive on the sets. Aanand L Rai, who worked with the actor in Atrangi Re and Raksha Bandhan, also said that Akshay gets more work done in a very short span of time as compared to other actors, hence he is able to do multiple films in one year.
Talking about the same in an interview with ETimes, Akshay mentioned had shared, “I spend only 8 hours on a film set in the day, but I don’t spend a single minute of those 8 hours in a vanity van. I am always standing on the floor of the movie set. My 8 hours are equal to 14-15 hours of any other star. That’s my commitment to the movies.” Akshay’s upcoming film is a OMG 2, spiritual sequel to his 2012 film by the same name. While he is completing his shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
