Google starts rolling out a new app sync feature on Play Store – Times of India

Google has started rolling out a new feature to the Play Store to make it easier for users to keep a similar set of apps across their devices. Android Central has reported that the search engine giant has started rolling out a new ‘sync apps to devices’ option on the Play Store app. The feature, as the name suggests, syncs apps across different Android devices linked to the same Google Account.
According to the report, the Google Play sync apps to devices option will automatically sync apps on all devices linked to the same Google Account. This means apps installed on the primary device will automatically appear on other devices.
Apart from that, the company has also updated the ‘available on more devices’ section of the app to include additional phones.
The new sync apps to devices feature is a part of Play Store’s Manage apps and device section. When users tap on the option, it provides users with a checklist that lists all the Android devices that are currently linked to the same account along with a note “ “Apps that you install on this device will also be installed on your synced devices.”
Wear OS devices will also be a part of the list
The good thing is that Google is also listing Wear OS devices in it as well to make it easier to add new apps to the smartwatches. The report also mentions that the same option is available in the Wear OS Play Store app as well.
The feature will come in handy for users who usually use two separate mobile devices or a Chromebook, smartwatch, etc. The feature will ensure that the apps installed on the primary device are available across all devices without users being required to install them manually.
