Google Pixel Tablet: Specifications
Google has equipped its Pixel Tablet with an 11-inch LCD display. The display offers Full-HD+ resolution of 2560×1600 and a standard refresh rate of 60Hz, while touch support and stylus compatibility are also included. The thick bezels around the display are intended to provide users with a good grip and prevent accidental touches. The front camera is an 8-megapixel unit in horizontal orientation, which is different from the portrait orientation used in Apple’s iPads. The Pixel Tablet is powered by Tensor G2 SoC and a 27Wh battery, with up to 12 hours of promised playback time.
A ceramic-like finished rear panel of the Pixel Tablet accommodates an 8-megapixel camera, but it lacks an LED flash which could be a letdown for some potential buyers.
Given that the Pixel Tablet is a Google product, it will run on the Android operating system, potentially starting with Android 13. As a result, users can anticipate exclusive features for the Pixel, both for photography and productivity purposes. Some of Google’s apps have been optimized for this form factor as well.
The tablet boasts several impressive features, including a quad-speaker setup, three microphones, a USB-C charging port, a fingerprint scanner located on the side, and compatibility with Wi-Fi 6. Furthermore, Google has introduced a hub that can function as a speaker and make the Pixel Tablet a portable device similar to Amazon Echo Show. The hub also acts as a charger, and the Pixel Tablet can turn into a digital photo frame.
