Google makes it easier to edit videos on Chromebooks using Photos app – Times of India
Google Photos video editing tools for ChromeOS
The new video editing features include suggested themes that will tell users the best footage from the gallery and help them select the best ones for their video. The editor will also support local files which means users can use on-device files in addition to the videos or photos stored on cloud to create the video.
To make it a complete experience, the editor in Google Photos will also offer users a bunch of preset audio and music to add as the background in the video. Do note that these songs will be royalty-free generic tunes.
How to get the updated Google Photos on Chromebook
Google Photo usually comes pre-installed on Chromebooks. However, you’ll need to install the latest version of the app available via Play Store to be able to use the feature. In case you’ve deleted the app, it can be downloaded again via Play Store.
How to get started with editor in Photos app on Chromebook
Using the editor in the Photos app is straightforward. All you need to do is open the updated Photos app and start selecting the photos and videos. Google Photos will then suggest a theme for the video, choose one, then choose the soundtrack and that’s it. You can export the video and view it in the Photos app.
Google Photos also lets users edit each photo and video selected individually for a better and personalised output.
