Google: Google’s Duet AI feature comes to Sheets, here’s how it works – Times of India

After introducing Duet AI features in Docs and Slides, Google is now expanding it to Sheets. In a tweet, the company revealed that the “help me organise” feature is being rolled out to Google Workspace Labs. “Duet AI for Google Workspace can now help you stay organised in Google Sheets. Just describe what you want to accomplish, and Sheets will generate custom templates to help you get started,” said the company in the tweet.

How will the feature work in Sheets

Users will see a “Help me organise” side panel in Sheets. In this panel, users can key in prompts like “agenda for a one-day sales kickoff event with session descriptions and status.” Users have the option of inserting and a table and further customising it. The idea is to make complex tracking and organising much easier.

Other AI features introduced

Google introduced Help me write feature in both Gmail and Docs as well. On Gmail for iOS and Android, users have the option to tap the compose button and access the Help Me Write feature situated at the bottom right corner of the screen. By entering prompts such as “A thank you letter for my job interview” or “A job application,” the AI will generate an email draft that users can further modify or revise before ultimately clicking the send button.
In addition, users have the ability to provide feedback on the generated text or generate a new version of the text by easily tapping the “Recreate” option. Furthermore, Google plans to make the Help Me Write feature accessible on Google Docs as well, although the specific timeline for this rollout has not been disclosed by the company.
Similarly, in Slides, there’s a Help me organise feature, which allows users to generate images and visuals that can go well with the text of the presentation.
