google: Google reportedly expands Android Games on Windows beta testing to more regions – Times of India
Windows 11 Android support had a rocky start and after delaying the feature a couple of times Microsoft finally started testing it in the Windows Insider Preview beta. While the official Android support for Windows 11 is yet to be released on the final version, Google officially started testing the Android games on Windows recently.
As a part of the new Android games on Windows, both Windows 10 and Windows 11 users will be able to run Android games natively on their PC and laptops. However, initially, the testing was limited to Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea regions and it was limited to only a total of 12 games including Asphalt 9, Gardenspaces, etc.
Now, Gsmarena has reported that Google is expanding the Android Games on Windows testing program to more regions as the website has spotted a ‘Download on Windows’ on the Google Play Store website on the Lineage2M game listing page.
We also tried searching the game on the Play Store desktop site and it seems that the test is also available in the Indian region as we can see the Download on Windows button. This clearly suggests that Google and Microsoft have expanded the test program to more regions.
Right now, the entire Android Games on Windows is in the testing phase and might take a while before Google officially rolls out the feature to all the games available on Google Play Store. Also, as of now, there’s no official confirmation from Google or Microsoft when we can expect the final rollout of the feature.
