google: Google Chrome may look similar to Windows 11 design – Times of India

Google is reportedly working on Chrome to make it look familiar with the upcoming Windows 11. Microsoft will release its latest operating system next week and the beta version of that is not out for months. One of the biggest noticeable changes in Windows 11 is that all context menus, popups and windows have rounded corners. According to a new patch on the Chromium Gerrit spotted by Leo Varela, Google is adding rounded corners to its browser. It is also rumoured that the browser will also get mica transparency effect and Windows 11-style icons such as seen on the Edge browser. Currently, it is not clear when the update will be rolled out to Chrome.
Google Chrome’s latest update
The company recently rolled out the Chrome 94 stable update for all platforms like Windows, MacOS, Android and iOS. As per the company, the main purpose of this update was to boost privacy and security features. One of the major upgrades that came along with the update is the HTTPS-First mode that warns users by showing a full page alert when they open a website based on HTTP which is less secure than HTTPS.
Windows 11 final build
Before the official launch, the preview build seems to be the final version of Windows 11. The build is already available for all Windows Insider users, they just have to switch from Beta or Dev to Preview on Windows 10. This will help users to get a free copy of Windows 11 before the official release. To check if your device is compatible with the Windows 11 operating system, you can read through the minimum requirements mentioned by the company or you can download the Microsoft PC Health Check app. The app runs through the system configurations and will give you the required information.
