Golden Knights’ William Karlsson falls on stage in hilarious drunken speech at Stanley Cup parade
Vegas Golden Knights star William Karlsson certainly had a wild night to remember after falling on stage, chugging out of the Stanley Cup and dropping an F-bomb in his hilarious drunken speech during the team’s crazy parade on the Las Vegas strip.
As the new Stanley Cup champions were announced to the crowd at Toshiba Plaza outside T-Mobile Arena on Saturday, Karlson, who was holding a tall boy, slipped down the stairs before teammates helped him get back on his feet.
‘Ow,’ Karlsson said after his fall.
The center rallied fans to chant ‘Go, Knights Go’ while taking off his shirt and tossing it into the crowd during team captain Mark Stone’s open air speech.
Karlsson, who was selected by the Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft, proceeded to take over the mic’ to introduce Jonathan Marchessault, this year’s MVP at the Stanley Cup Finals, on stage.

The 30-year-old certainly had a wild night to remember as he celebrated with his teammates
‘Ok, you guys can hear me, yeah you hear me? So um, this guy, this f***ing guy, he was here day one, and I know you have been here day f***ing one,’ Karlsson said before being given a round of applause and cheers from the Vegas faithful and his teammates.
The 30-year-old Karlsson is in his sixth season with the Golden Knights and boosts an impressive postseason record, scoring 17 points in 22 playoff games.
The Swede also brought up the Arizona Coyotes during his passionate speech.
‘You guys are so amazing, we played Arizona in the first game and we beat the s**t out of them,’ he said. ‘And I had no points, but that’s ok because that year one I was pretty f***ing great. But you guys were greater. We’ve been up and down on this journey to the cup.’
Several teammates and parade organizers on stage tried to cut the reveling Karlsson off the mic, but he kept going with his remarks.
‘Listen to me, we’ve been waiting for six long years for this guy to be MVP, Jonathan Marchessault,’ he added.
‘Wild Bill’ then took a sip out of the golden chalice — the Stanley Cup – before leaping onto a speaker and showing off his karaoke skills as soon as ABBA’s ‘Dancing Queen’ started playing.
A lot’s been happening in Karlsson’s life lately, giving the Golden Knights star even more reasons to celebrate his personal and team’s successes.

Tens of thousands of fans packed out the Toshiba Plaza – which reached capacity – and beyond, cheering on its heroes as they went on a 1-mile parade route around Sin City.
Prior to the parade, Las Vegas police said they prepared for upwards of 100,000 people to cram street-level viewing areas along Las Vegas Boulevard.
Center Jack Eichel also thoroughly enjoyed the celebrations, partaking in the parade shirtless and ran down the strip with a Golden Knights flag, much to the amusement of the faithful.
