Gizmore inks new smartwatch manufacturing deal with Optiemus Electronics – Times of India

Gizmore is an Indian brand that deals in smart accessories, fitness gear and home audio products. The company has shared its plans for smartwatches and is planning to produce and sell over 1.5 million wearables in 2023-24. To achieve this feat, Gizmore has to capture at least a 5% market share in India. The company has now announced its partnership with Optiemus Electronics Limited (OEL) for its smartwatches. Gizmore has collaborated with OEL to manufacture nearly 1 million smartwatches in the next 12 months.

Gizmore is expecting to sell around 4 lakh smartwatches in FY 2022-23. The company has also set a goal to grow its smartwatch business by four times from Rs 50 crore in the current fiscal year to over Rs 200 crore in 2023-24. Under this new partnership, Optiemus Electronics will be producing nearly 75% of the total volume of Gizmore smartwatches in the country in the coming years.
The company is planning to manufacture its upcoming smartwatch models with AMOLED display in partnership with OEL. These smartwatch models include Blaze Max, Vogue and others. The collaboration with OEL will be another step towards Gizmore’s commitment towards the “Make in India” initiative.

Gizmore is planning to focus on research and development to boost its next growth phase. The brand also plans to expand the reach of its software for smartwatches like the Tres Connect, which is built in association with Quadlabs Technologies.
The smartwatch maker has already launched two models – GizFit Slate and GizFit Ultra – which integrates the Tres Theapp. Gizmore is even planning to continue its R&D initiatives in the upcoming days to create a advanced ecosystem for its consumers.
