Gigi Hadid poses with Aishwarya Rai, Aaradhya, Shah Rukh Khan at the NMACC gala, reveals she ‘learned so much’ on her trip – Times of India

The crème de la crème of Bollywood and prominent names from Hollywood descended in Mumbai over the weekend for the launch of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. The glittering ceremony saw the presence of the biggest names from all across the globe and American model and television personality Gigi Hadid vowed one and all in her handmade shimmery, chikan saree.

Earlier today, the diva took to her IG handle to share more details on her outfit and wrote, “The @nmacc.india Gala was a celebration of Indian craftsmanship, and its inspiration on fashion internationally, with the opening of the exhibit “India in Fashion: The Impact of Indian Dress and Textiles on the Fashionable Imagination,” curated by the iconic @hamishbowles! It was my honor and joy to showcase this masterpiece designed by @abujanisandeepkhosla ???? this Chikankari sari was made in the Lucknow region of India, and took a year to make; each woman who crafted it specializes in a differently stitch ???? truly remarkable workmanship .. I’ll never forget it ????” Gigi also shared multiple pics from the event, where she can be seen posing with Aishwarya Rai, Aaradhya, Shah Rukh Khan, Nita Ambani amongst others.

Earlier, during the NMACC gala, Gigi was seen joining Varun Dhawan on stage and their dance off created quite a stir on social media. Varun was mercilessly trolled for making Gigi uncomfortable and not understanding consent.

Hitting out at the trolls, Varun then tweeted, “I guess today you woke up and decided to be woke. So lemme burst your bubble and tell you it was planned for her to be on stage so find a new Twitter cause to vent about rather then going out and doing something about things. Good morning.” Later, Gigi also thanked Varun and wrote, “@varundvn making my Bollywood dreams come true.”
