The actress in a conversation with Pinkvilla, recently confirmed the trilogy on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharajwhich her husband had announced back in 2020.The actress stated that the film is definitely happening but not in the immediate future as of now. She also added that the film is extremely dear to Riteish and he will put every bit of his heart into the project and there is no question of shelving it.
Riteish and director Nagraj Manjule had announced a trilogy on the life of Shivaji Maharaj on his 390th birth anniversary back in 2020.The film is backed by the actor’s production house ‘Mumbai Film Company’. On February 19, 2020, Riteish took to Twitter and wrote, “Proud to present. Seeking your blessings, Jay Shivray.”
Currently, a film on Shivaji Maharaj is already in the pipeline with Akshay Kumar in the lead. It is called Vedaat Maratha Veer Daudale Saat, and is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar.
