Bollywood and TV actor Gaurav Dixit was arrested on Friday night after the Narcotics Control Bureau recovered ‘MD’ and ‘Charas’ from his residence. According to ANI, the actor has now been sent to the NCB custody till 30
th August in a drug case.

ANI tweeted, “TV actor Gaurav Dixit sent to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) custody till 30th August. He was arrested by NCB yesterday after MD and Charas were recovered from his residence in a raid. He was arrested in connection with the interrogation of actor Ajaz Khan.”

In April, NCB found large quantities of banned drugs at his house located in Lokhandwala. While returning to his house, as soon as the actor and his friend spotted the police, they fled away. Since then, they were on the lookout for him.

Earlier today, Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede confirmed that Ajaz Khan’s bail plea has been rejected. While speaking to ETimes, he said, “The bail has been rejected by the honorary NDPS court as the charges against him are serious.” It has been said that Gaurav supplied drugs to Ajaz. Ajaz and Gaurav Dixit have a direct connection with Shadab Batata, who was arrested by the NCB with drugs worth Rs 2 crores in the month of March.

Reacting to Gaurav’s arrest, Wankhede said, “In the Shadab Batata case we have already arrested four people including Ajaz Khan and therefore Gaurav becomes very crucial as far as the network is concerned. We have also recovered drugs from his house.”

Gaurav has worked in films like ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’, ‘Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi’ amongst others.
